Our clients often come to us with concerns about the effect aging has on their skin. Fine lines and wrinkles can suddenly appear seemingly overnight. At Helen Hunt Aesthetics, we know there are easy ways to adjust your skincare routine to look after for your skin. There are a number of different ways you can change your skincare products to reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles. Here are a few of the suggestions I would recommend at our aesthetic skin care clinic:

Chemical Peels:

Chemical peels can help combat signs of anti-aging such as uneven skin tone, fine lines and wrinkles. They work by removing the top layer of the epidermis – mostly composed of dead skin cells anyway – giving a fresh glowy look. Chemical peels can cause some discomfort or stinging when applying so attending a clinic to use these peels is the safest and most effective option. Chemical peels are also one of the most noticeable treatments you can have, as results can be seen in a number of hours after your treatment.

High Quality Medical Grade Skincare:

Another way to reduce the effects of aging is using medical grade skincare. Although this often comes with a higher price tag, the effect on your skin is superior to non-medical grade skincare. Ingredients such as retinol and certain diluted acids can tackle signs of aging, such as fine lines and hyperpigmentation. They can be very effective and therefore are often found in anti aging creams. However, as with many skin care treatments you have to use these products for a few weeks to see any noticeable difference. If you want to look your best for a special occasion or just need a change in your skin care, visit our skin care clinic in Honiton and Exeter. Our experts will give you advice on how to best treat any of your skin care concerns.
